BANK OF INDIA STAFF CO-OPERATIVE THRIFT AND CREDIT SOCIETY LIMITED was registered as a Co-operative Society in Tamilnadu on 30.12.1955 and started functioning with effect from 01.01.1959 to cater the needs of Bank of India Staff in Madras (Chennai).  Subsequently, the Area of Operation was extended to the entire State of Tamilnadu and Union Territory of Pondicherry and the Society was registered as a Multi State Co-operative Society with effect from 14.10.1995 by the Registrar of Co-operative Societies, New Delhi.

At present the total Membership is 378.
